WHY

WHY LEARN MUSIC?

Cognitive Development

Playing an instrument engages various regions of the brain, enhancing cognitive functions such as memory, problem-solving, and spatial-temporal skills. This mental stimulation can contribute to improved academic performance and cognitive flexibility.

Enhanced Listening Skills

Musicians develop a heightened sense of auditory discrimination, improving their ability to recognize patterns, nuances, and subtle differences in sound. This skill translates to improved listening abilities in various aspects of life.

Emotional Expression

Music is a powerful form of self-expression, allowing individuals to convey emotions and experiences that may be challenging to express verbally. Learning an instrument provides a creative outlet for emotional expression.

Social Connection

Playing an instrument often involves collaboration with others, whether in a band, orchestra, or ensemble. This fosters social connections, teamwork, and a sense of community, contributing to interpersonal skills and shared creativity.

Discipline and Patience

Mastering an instrument requires dedication, discipline, and patience. Learning to play teaches individuals the value of consistent practice, goal-setting, and the satisfaction that comes with gradual improvement over time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked

Do I have to book each lesson?

No. You only need to book the first lesson’s day/time and we will make it a recurring appointment for the same day/time each week.

Does the payment draft on the first of each month?

No. The payment will draft on the day of the first lesson and each payment covers 4 weeks, regardless of how many weeks are in a month. This causes payment dates to fluctuate a little throughout the year.

How long will my time slot be reserved?

Signing up between August and May reserves your time slot for that entire school year. Since time slots reset every August, it is important to reserve yours as soon as possible. We typically book up around the beginning of July, so urgency is key. Summer semesters will have separate availabilities.

Do I have to order curriculum?

No. We will have all curriculum on hand for you to purchase on the first or second lesson.
